UWE Grab & Go

Our Grab & Go program evolved out of a clear request from the Missoula community: more food, please! At the same time, our chefs were asking for more time in the kitchen. Now available all week at Masala (206 W Main St), try these delicious products, from dips and desserts, to simmering sauces and chutneys, all made by our chefs in our commercial kitchen. Masala is open from 11am-9pm Monday-Friday and 5pm-9pm on Saturday.

Chef Merry’s Eritrean Grab & Go Menu

Tsebhi Birsen & Atakilt Wat - Vegan, GF
Lentils spiced with berbere and rosemary and stewed with tomatoes and onion. 
Served with a side of atakilt wat, a stew of carrots, potatoes, cabbage, turmeric, garlic and onion. Delicious eaten with injera, a spongy tangy flatbread you can use to scoop up lentils and veggies.


Atakilt Wat - Vegan, GF
A rich stew of carrots, potatoes, cabbage, turmeric, garlic and onion. 

Berbere Simmering Sauce - Vegan, GF
Use this as a base: add the protein of your choice, and simmer, filling your house with the rich scents. Perfect served with atakilt wat and injera!

Injera - GF
Made of teff flour, this special flatbread is meant to be an edible plate, spoon, and accompaniment to the main meal. 

Himbasha
Try this lightly sweet Eritrean celebration bread. Spiced with citrus and studded with raisins, eat a slice alongside coffee or tea.
